Friday Night Sites

A couple of Coach Terry Hoeppner's 2007 football recruits opened their high school seasons Friday night, and has the results and statistics from those contests, along with information on when the other recruits get their seasons underway...

Dane Conwell, LB, Pittsburgh (Penn.) Upper St. Clair H.S. – Conwell's squad opens its season Sept. 1 against Penn-Trafford H.S.

Max Dedmond, TE, Evansville (Ind.) Central H.S. – Evansville Central opened the season with a 28-20 win over Southridge. Dedmond played tight end and middle linebacker, although no statistics were available. Evansville Central H.S. quarterback Chris Owen completed 12-of-15 passes for 229 yards and three touchdowns to lead Central to the season-opening victory.

Matt Ernest, WR, Crown Point (Ind.) H.S. – Ernest's Crown Point H.S. squad got its 2006 season off on the right foot with a 17-0 win over defending Class 4A state champion Lowell. Ernest was held largely in check, catching one pass for a 19-yard touchdown.
