Friday Night Sites

The storms that roared through Indiana last night postponed the game for Max Dedmond and Evansville Central last night, but the rest of the members of IU's 2007 recruiting class were in action. Find out about a couple more 100-yard rushing efforts for Dane Conwell and Darius Jonson, along with the first victory of the season for Zack Walker and his Plantation H.S. squad...

Dane Conwell, LB, Pittsburgh (Penn.) Upper St. Clair H.S. – Upper St. Clair improved to 4-0 with a 16-7 win over North Allegheny H.S. Friday night. Conwell ran for 125 yards in the win, including a 65-yard touchdown run on Upper St. Clair's opening drive of the second half.

Max Dedmond, TE, Evansville (Ind.) Central H.S. – Evansville Central (5-0) had its Friday night encounter with Castle (2-3) moved back to noon on Saturday due to storms and lightning that were in the area.

Matt Ernest, WR, Crown Point (Ind.) H.S. – A trio of blocked punts helped propel Crown Point to a 35-21 win over Valparaiso Friday night, a victory that moved Crown Point to 6-0 this season. There were no statistics available for Ernest.

Sidney Glover, S, Warren G. Harding (Ohio) H.S. – Harding picked up a lopsided, victory, pounding Youngstown Wilson H.S. 45-6. No statistics were available.

Darius Johnson, LB, Highland Park (Mich.) Community H.S. – Highland Park continued its winning ways with a 49-0 win over Ypsilanti Willow Run. Johnson carried the ball only six times in the win, but still managed 100 yards and two touchdowns. The 5-0 Highland Park squad has outscored its foes 236-28 this season, including 138-0 in the last three weeks. Johnson, meanwhile, has carried 43 times this season for 552 yards (12.8 yards/carry) and nine touchdowns.

Tyler Replogle, LB, Centerville (Ohio) H.S. - After being shut out 21-0 by Don Bosco (N.J.) Prep last week in the Kirk Herbstreit Challenge, Centerville bounced back with a 42-0 win over Xenia Friday night. No statistics were available.

Teddy Schell, QB, Barrington (Ill.) H.S. – Schell completed 18-of-31 passes for 180 yards and a touchdown, but it wasn't enough as Barrington (3-2) fell to Fremd (4-1) Thursday night. Fremd was able to limit Barrington tailback Andre Anderson – the cousin of former Northwestern tailback Damien Anderson - to only 85 yards on 26 carries. Anderson entered the game averaging just over 200 yards per game.

Zach Walker, RB, Plantation (Fla.) H.S. - After going winless during the 2005 season, Plantation H.S. finally got a long-awaited with a 29-26 victory over Dillard H.S. Walker carried 18 times for 61 yards and two touchdowns and also had one reception for 12 yards. Top Stories
