Finch One of 10 In Bloomington for Officials

A big weekend for the Indiana football program got a whole lot bigger. Coach Terry Hoeppner and staff are entertaining 10 official visitors this weekend, including the likes of Kyle Jefferson, DeMarcus Lattier, Jeff Boyd, Chris Adkins...and Jerimy Finch.

A big weekend for Indiana football has gotten a whole lot bigger. has learned that Warren Central safety Jerimy Finch is in town for an official visit to Coach Terry Hoeppner's program. He's one of 10 official visitors to the IU program this weekend, and one of three members of the Warren Central H.S. program that won its fourth consecutive state championship this fall. The group was seen at Janko's Little Zagreb's Friday night.

The Indiana staff has been hoping to lure a handful of players from that loaded Warren Central squad, and it appears they may have a chance at doing just that. Finch is joined this weekend by prep teammates Chris Adkins and Jeff Boyd. Adkins, a 6-1, 180-pound cornerback, has already verbally committed to the Hoosiers, while the 6-3, 280-pound Boyd is still considering Michigan, Kentucky, Ole Miss and West Virginia. Another Warren Central H.S. standout, offensive linemen Andrew McDonald, has already committed to IU as well.

While there's plenty of attention on the Warren Central visitors, they are also a handful of other talented recruits in town as well. In addition to that trio, Glenville, Ohio, teammates Kyle Jefferson (WR) and Eric Thomas (DE); Garland, Texas teammates DeMarcus Lattier (DT) and Josh Robinson (OLB); Jacksonsville, Fla., athlete Michael Holmes; and Arlington, Texas wide receiver Brad Haynes are also in town this weekend.

The 6-2, 200-pound Finch - who appears to be re-considering a verbal commitment to Michigan - is's top-ranked player in the state of Indiana. He is also one of four players from Warren Central ranked in Scout's top 10 in the state. Boyd, meanwhile, is ranked seventh on that list, and IU already has commitments from No. 5 Max Dedmond, No. 9 Matt Ernest and No. 10 Dennis Ziegler.

"Perhaps a fitting name for the Indiana top 10 should be the Indianapolis Warren Central Top 10," recruiting analyst Bob Lichtenfels said. "The perennial powerhouse program has placed an amazing four players in the top 10, led by Jerimy Finch." Top Stories
