Tyrone, Ga., defensive end Fred Jones has wrapped up his final official visit, and says he knows when he's going to make his decision.
"I'll know by Wednesday," Jones said.
The 6-5, 235-pound Jones, who made an official visit to Indiana a week ago, took his fourth and final official visit this weekend to Marshall. He's also made stops at Kentucky and Central Florida, but said his mid-week decision will boil down to two schools.
"Marshall and Indiana are the two I'm thinking about – that's it," Jones said.
The Indiana staff is holding out hope the Sandy Creek H.S. standout ultimately picks the Hoosiers. Jones is coming off a senior season that included 47 tackles, 17 tackles for loss and seven sacks, which earned him county defensive player of the year honors.
He was in Bloomington during last week's big recruiting weekend that included the likes of recent IU pledges Jerimy Finch and Jeff Boyd. Jones said he came away impressed with the IU coaches in particular during his two-day stay in town.
"The coaches were the coolest coaches in the world," Jones said. "They really relate to you. All of them were like that."
