The will he or won't he has finally come to an end for Joey Shaw.

The Times-News reported this morning the 6-6, 185-pound guard has transferred to Southern Idaho, a tradition-rich junior college program in Twin Falls, Idaho. Due to his decision to go to a junior college instead of another I-A school, Shaw will be eligible to play next season.

As a redshirt freshman, Shaw averaged 4.5 points, 1.9 rebounds and 12.9 minutes/game. His 41.4 percent (12-of-29) from behind the 3-point arc was tops on the team, and he shot 43.2 percent from the floor overall.

Despite his solid debut season, there were questions about how much playing time Shaw would get during the upcoming season. Class of 2007 signees Eric Gordon, JaMarcus Ellis and Jordan Crawford join A.J. Ratliff and Armon Bassett to give the Hoosiers plenty of options at guard.

Shaw is the third I-A player to land at Southern Idaho this off-season, joining Oral Roberts' Daren Jordan and Washington's Harvey Perry. All three previously played together on the Arizona Magic AAU squad.

Southern Idaho went 30-7 last season, losing to Chipola (Fla.) JC 96-90 in the NJCAA Tournament semifinals. JaMarcus Ellis starred for Chipola in that contest, scoring 32 points to go along with 16 rebounds. DeAndre Thomas, meanwhile, added 16 points and six rebounds in the win.
