Bloomington, Ind. – An announcement could come today from Indiana University about the status of IU Football Coach Terry Hoeppner.
HoosierNation.com has confirmed that a meeting has been scheduled for this morning for the Hoosier football players, and there has been speculation that a press conference with IU Athletics Director Rick Greenspan and IU President Dr. Adam Herbert will follow. As of 7 a.m., though, there has been no announcement from IU regarding a press conference.
Hoeppner, who has had brain surgery twice in the last 18 months, has been on medical leave for the last three months. Assistant Head Coach Bill Lynch filled in for Hoeppner during spring practice and has been overseeing the program in Hoeppner's absence.
HoosierNation.com will have additional updates as this story develops.
