Larry Black, DT, Wyoming (Ohio) H.S. – Wyoming (5-1) scored 35 second-quarter points to overcome a 14-0 deficit and eventually top Deer Park, 35-14. Black played a big part in the second-quarter flurry, picking off a pass inside the Deer Park 20 to set up one of Wyoming's five second quarter touchdown drives.

Shane Covington, RB/WR, Milwaukee (Wis.) Riverside H.S. – Riverside saw its three-game winning streak come to an end with a 35-7 loss to Bradley Tech. Riverside was limited to just five first downs, five rushing yards, and 82 total yards in the loss, which dropped them to 3-3. Covington was harassed all night by the undefeated Bradley Tech (6-0) squad and was limited to 5-of-14 passing for 35 yards and one interception. He also had minus-31 yards rushing.

Marc Damisch, OL, Buffalo Grove (Ill.) H.S. – Buffalo Grove H.S. saw its nine game-winning streak to Wheeling come to an end as Wheeling handed Buffalo Grove a 32-21 setback. BG tailback Josh Hampton ran for 116 yards on 11 carries, but it wasn't nearly enough as Buffalo Grove slipped to 2-4.

Tandon Doss, WR, Indianapolis (Ind.) Ben Davis H.S. – Someone finally held the IU-bound recruit in check. Top-ranked Center Grove (Ind.) H.S. limited Doss to 87 yards of total offense on 18 touches and whipped Ben Davis 37-7. After rushing for a combined 342 yards in the last two games Doss was limited to just 16 yards on 10 carries and also caught eight passes for 71 yards. Doss has 101 carries for 750 yards this year and also has 29 receptions for 414 yards and has totaled 12 touchdowns.

Adam Follett, QB, Alma (Mich.) Senior H.S. – Follett completed just 8-of-19 passes for 137 yards a touchdown, but Alma still managed to beat Chesaning 21-16 to improve to 6-0 and secure a postseason playoff spot. In six games, Follett is 60-of-127 for 968 yards, 10 touchdowns and five interceptions.

Alex Hunt, RB, Buford (Ga.) H.S. – The good news for Buford's Friday night foe, Greater Atlanta Christian H.S., was that it equaled the highest point total against Buford this season. The bad news was that was only seven points. Buford cruised to its fifth straight easy win, pounding Greater Atlanta Christian 42-7. Buford has now outscored its five foes 228-26. Hunt's stats were unavailable. Will Matte, OL, Wheaton (Ill.) Warrenville South H.S. – Quarterback Michael Piatkowski threw for 188 yards and tailback Francis Adarkwa ran for 85 yards and three touchdowns to lead WWS to a 35-6 win over West Aurora. The defending Class 8A state champs, Warrenville South picked up its 20th straight win overall and improved to 6-0.

Mick Mentzer, DT, Ft. Wayne (Ind.) Bishop Dwenger H.S. – Dwenger kept its perfect season in tact, topping Ft. Wayne Southside 35-5. The second-ranked team in the state in Class 5A, Dwenger improved to 7-0.

Justin Pagan, OL, Chicago (Ill.) St. Patrick H.S. – Pagan's St. Patrick H.S. team dropped its second straight, falling to Carmel (Ill.) H.S. 35-14 to slip to 2-4.

Peter St. Fort, DB, Naples (Fla.) – Golden Gate H.S. – Golden Gate H.S. managed only seven first downs but still managed to pull out a 19-14 win over Venice (Fla.) H.S. to improve to 2-3. St. Fort's stats were unavailable. IU recruiting target J.D. Woods, meanwhile, caught five passes for 60 yards and also had a 37-yard punt return.

Chad Sherer, LB/S, Arcadia (Ind.) Hamilton Heights H.S. – After spotting Northwestern a 7-0 lead, Hamilton Heights ripped off 56 straight points, cruising to a 56-13 win to improve to 5-2. Sherer scored on an 80-yard run on Hamilton Heights' first offensive play and wound up with 172 yards on 17 carries and two touchdowns. He also added a 57-yard touchdown reception as well. On the year, Sherer has 123 carries for 848 yards and 16 touchdowns to go along with the one touchdown reception and one kickoff return for a score.

Nick Sliger, DT, Fishers (Ind.) Hamilton SE H.S. – After playing four straight nailbiters, Hamilton Southeastern finally was able to relax Friday night, knocking off Noblesville 35-12 to improve to 6-1. Sliger's squad led just 7-6 at halftime, but scored 28 second half points to cruise to the 23-point win. Hamilton SE limited Noblesville to seven first downs and 123 yards of total offense while forcing four turnovers.

Cortez Smith, RB, Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech H.S. – Cass Tech was scheduled to play Detroit Central H.S. Friday afternoon, but no results or statistics were available.

Marquelo Suel, WR, Ft. Wayne (Ind.) Harding H.S. - Harding picked up its second straight win, topping Ft. Wayne Wayne H.S. 34-25. Suel's stats were unavailable.

A.J. Thompson, DT, Lakeland (Fla.) Kathleen H.S. – Kathleen H.S. piled up 465 yards of total offense and came away with a 38-28 win over Port St. Lucie Centennial. The ninth-ranked team in the state in Class 3A, Kathleen improved to 4-1 with the win. Top Stories
