Bloomington, Ind. – The Hoosiers' list of Hoosier Hysteria visitors continues to grow.
HoosierNation.com has learned that Nolan Dennis, a 6-5, 180-pound wing from Richland (Texas) H.S., will be in Bloomington next Friday night as IU gets its 2007-08 season underway at Assembly Hall.
The 23rd-ranked player in the 2009 class, Dennis is one of at least three top-25 players in the '09 class who is expected to be courtside next Friday. He'll be joined by Brooklyn small forward Lance Stephenson and Elizabeth, N.J., point guard Dexter Strickland. The 6-5, 205-pound Stephenson is ranked No. 5 in Scout.com's 2009 player rankings, while the 6-3, 175-pound Strickland is ranked No. 10.
Dennis is the latest to add his name to the list. An elite shooting guard who has been drawing interest from Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Texas and Texas A&M, among others. As is the case with Stephenson and Strickland, Indiana has already offered the Texas product a scholarship.
As a sophomore, Dennis was named the District's Most Valuable Player after averaging 18.2 points to lead Richland to a 24-8 record and a 12-2 mark in District 5-5A. He had a couple of 30-plus point performances, including a 33-point effort in a late-season overtime loss to defending Class 3A state champion Roosevelt H.S. in the Dallas ISD Classic.
Among the other likely Hoosier Hysteria attendees are 2008 commit Devin Ebanks and 2008 target Kevin Jones.
