Larry Black, DT, Wyoming (Ohio) H.S. – Wyoming improved to 7-1 with a 21-14 win over Cincinnati Reading H.S. The fifth-ranked team in the Division II-IV in Ohio, Wyoming has two games remaining in the regular season including a huge regular season finale matchup with second-ranked Indian Hill. Both teams are 5-0 in the conference.

Shane Covington, RB/WR, Milwaukee (Wis.) Riverside H.S. – Riverside won its second straight, topping Milwaukee King 24-9. Covington plays quarterback on his prep team and threw for one touchdown and 145 yards. Riverside (5-3) closes its regular season on Wednesday against Milwaukee Washington.

Marc Damisch, OL, Buffalo Grove (Ill.) H.S. – Buffalo Grove pulled off a stunning upset, topping previously unbeaten and No. 1 Rolling Meadows, 12-10. BG running back Josh Hampton rushed for 138 yards on 22 carries, while the Buffalo Grove defense limited Rolling Meadows to 135 total yards. Buffalo Grove improved to 4-4.

Tandon Doss, WR, Indianapolis (Ind.) Ben Davis H.S. - Quarterback MarQueis Gray returned to the field for the first time since late August and guided Ben Davis (6-3) to a come-from-behind 28-27 win over third-ranked Carmel. Carmel led 21-6 early in the fourth quarter before Gray scored three times in the final period, including the go-ahead score with 29 seconds remaining. Doss, meanwhile, carried 18 times for 62 yards and caught one pass for 45 yards. On the season, Doss has 138 carries for 967 yards this year and also has 32 receptions for 486 yards and has totaled 14 touchdowns.

Adam Follett, QB, Alma (Mich.) Senior H.S. – Follett completed 12-of-21 passes for 258 yards and had a 35-yard touchdown pass in Alma's 35-14 win over Saginaw Swan Valley. With the win, Alma remained unbeaten and improved to 8-0 overall and 7-0 in the conference. On the year, Follett is 85-of-169 for 1,392 yards, 14 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

Alex Hunt, RB, Buford (Ga.) H.S. - The bludgeonings continued, as Buford scored 48 unanswered points while pounding Holy Innocents, 55-14. Buford improved to 7-0, has now won each of its six games by at least 27 points, and has outscored its five foes 330-46. Hunt's stats were unavailable. Will Matte, OL, Wheaton (Ill.) Warrenville South H.S. - WWS scored on a 36-yard touchdown pass on its first play from scrimmage and cruised to a 44-13 win over Glenbard East. With the win, Warrenville South picked up its 22nd straight win overall and improved to 8-0 and 6-0 in the DuPage Valley Conference.

Mick Mentzer, DT, Ft. Wayne (Ind.) Bishop Dwenger H.S. – Mentzer missed the regular season finale with an unspecified injury, but top-ranked Dwenger (9-0) remained unbeaten heading into the postseason with a 28-21 win over Bishop Luers. Dwenger coach Chris Svarczkopf said Mentzer will be back for next week's sectional opener against Elmhurst.

Justin Pagan, OL, Chicago (Ill.) St. Patrick H.S. – St. Patrick dropped its fourth in a row, falling to Nazareth H.S. 28-19 to slip to 2-6.

Peter St. Fort, DB, Naples (Fla.) – Golden Gate H.S. – IU recruiting target J.D. Woods caught touchdown passes of 56 and 82 yards, but it wasn't enough as Gulf Coast beat Golden Gate H.S. 32-19. Woods had a huge game, catching 10 passes for 236 yards in the loss. St. Fort's statistics weren't available.

Chad Sherer, LB/S, Arcadia (Ind.) Hamilton Heights H.S. - After missing the previous week's game with a knee injury, Sherer returned and carried 14 times for 89 yards and a touchdown in Hamilton Heights' 41-0 win over Peru. Hamilton Heights won its seventh straight and improved to 7-2 overall. On the year, Sherer has 137 carries for 937 yards and 17 touchdowns to go along with the one touchdown reception and one kickoff return for a score.

Nick Sliger, DT, Fishers (Ind.) Hamilton SE H.S. – Hamilton SE clinched a share of the Hoosier Crossroads Conference title with a 35-0 shutout of McCutcheon to finish the regular season 7-2. Sliger and the HSE defense led the way, limiting McCutcheon to seven first downs and 100 total yards while also intercepting McCutcheon quarterback Eric Tippy three times.

Cortez Smith, RB, Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech H.S. – Cass Tech posted its third straight win and second consecutive shutout, beating Detroit Mumford 19-0 in its regular season finale. Smith paced the ground attack, rushing 19 times for 123 yards and a touchdown. He also totaled four tackles on defense for Cass Tech, which improved to 4-4.

Marquelo Suel, WR, Ft. Wayne (Ind.) Harding H.S. - The eighth-ranked team in Class 2A, Harding dropped its second straight, falling to Ft. Wayne South Side 42-25 to slip to 5-4 overall. Suel's stats were unavailable.

A.J. Thompson, DT, Lakeland (Fla.) Kathleen H.S. – Lakeland Kathleen improved to 6-1 with a 35-14 win over George Jenkins H.S. The ninth-ranked team in the state, Kathleen amassed 443 yards of total offense with the win, while Jenkins dropped to 0-7. Top Stories
