BLOOMINGTON – Indiana will go on the road to take on Wake Forest in the 2008 ACC/Big Ten Challenge, the Big Ten Conference announced Tuesday.
The Hoosiers and Demon Deacons will square off on Wednesday, Dec. 3, on the last day of the three-day event. Times and television haven't been announced for the games yet.
Wake Forest went 17-13 a year ago, including 7-9 in the ACC. Coach Dino Gaudio's team will return all five starters from a year ago, including sophomore James Johnson (14.6 points/game) and Indianapolis product Jeff Teague (13.9/game).
This marks the second time Indiana has played at Wake Forest in the event, as Wake pounded the Hoosiers 100-67 in 2003.
Indiana owns 3-4 all-time in the event. The Hoosiers ended a four-year losing streak last season with an 83-79 victory over Georgia Tech.
