Bloomington – In a wild day in IU basketball recruiting, Jordan Hulls is the latest player to add his name to IU's 2009 class.
Sources close to the situation have told HoosierNation.com that the 6-0, 170-pound point guard from Bloomington (Ind.) South H.S. committed to the Hoosiers this afternoon. Hulls is the fourth member of IU's 2009 class, joining Bobby Capobianco, Maurice Creek and Derek Elston.
Hulls has emerged as a coveted recruit in the last several months thanks to his play with the Indiana Elite AAU squad. He helped lead the squad to titles at the Pitt Jam Fest and Adidas May Classic and to a semifinal appearance at the Jayhawk Invitational. His play as of late have helped him make a quick rise in the national recruiting rankings, as he was tabbed as the nation's 13th-best point guards in Scout.com's latest 2009 class rankings.
A deft 3-point shooter with an excellent handle, Hulls averaged 16.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists last season for Bloomington South. He had also been offered by Purdue and was getting interest from both Duke and Stanford as well.
