Bloomington –After sitting out Saturday's game with a shoulder injury, wide receiver Ray Fisher will be back on the practice field Tuesday.
During his Big Ten Teleconference Tuesday IU Coach Bill Lynch confirmed that the Hoosiers' 5'9", 172-pound wideout has been cleared to return to practice today. Fisher has been sidelined since suffered a shoulder injury in IU's season-opening 31-13 win over Western Kentucky.
Lynch said the injury was never that serious, but the staff decided it was best to rest the team's top returning receiver from a year ago for Saturday's 45-3 win over I-AA Murray State.
"If we were playing a Big Ten game we probably would have played," Lynch said. "But we wanted to make sure he was healthy, and we expect him to be at full strength for Ball State."
Fisher caught five passes for 16 yards and one touchdown in his one half of action against Western Kentucky. He was replaced in the starting lineup last weekend by Brandon Walker-Roby.
