Lawrence Barnett, CB, Ft. Wayne Bishop Luers – Barnett had successful surgery on his left ankle Aug. 27, as doctors inserted plates and screws to the ankle that Barnett broke in Luers' season-opening win. Doctors have told Barnett he needs to be off the ankle for six weeks, and he'll then have at least six more weeks of rehab – meaning his senior season is over. IU Coach Bill Lynch has told Barnett his scholarship remains safe.

Ted Bolser, TE, Cincinnati, Ohio (Indian Hill) - Bolser caught six passes for 42 yards and two touchdowns to help Indian Hill (4-2) to a 34-14 win over Mariemont H.S. Bolser scored on a 25-yard pass to the game's first score and then added a two-yard TD reception in the second half. On the season, Bolser has 39 catches for 491 yards and five scores.

Dimitrius Carr, LB, Chicago (Ill.) Mt. Carmel H.S. – After dropping back-to-back games, Mt. Carmel (3-2) bounced back with a 35-10 win over previously undefeated Brother Rice. Carr's stats were unavailable.

Charles Chapman, OT, Carleton (Mich.) Airport H.S. –Airport improved to 4-1 with a 42-0 win over Riverview. Chapman helped open holes for tailback James Behric, who ran for 139 yards and three touchdowns.

Jamonne Chester, WR, Redford (Mich.) Covenant H.S. – Southfield Christian knocked off Redford Covenant 35-22. Chester's stats were unavailable.

Javon Cornley, DE, Columbus, Ohio (Northland) - Northland turned in a dominating defensive effort, shutting out Columbus Mifflin 27-0, to improve to 2-4 on the season.

Mitch Ewald, K, Aurora, Ill. (Waubonsie Valley) – Ewald had a chance to show off his big leg with a 47-yard field goal in Waubonsie Valley's easy 46-21 win over Elgin. After rushing for a combined 113 yards in its first four games, Waubonsie Valley (2-3) ran for 225 to pick up its second straight win.

Jeremy Gainer, LB, Livonia (Mich.) Clarenceville H.S. – Clarenceville (4-1) bounced back from its first loss on the year with a 42-10 win over Macomb Township Lutheran North. Gainer's stats were unavailable.

Dusty Kiel, QB, Columbus East - Kiel broke the Columbus East career total offense mark Friday night while leading Class 4A No. 1 Columbus East to a 62-0 win over Floyd Central. Kiel completed 11-of-17 passes for 308 yards and three touchdowns and added another 31 yards rushing and another score. On the season, Kiel has completed 77-of-115 passes for 1,439 yards, 17 touchdowns and two interceptions, and he's rushed for 477 yards and seven scores on 53 carries.

Pat McShane, OT, Cuyahoga Falls (Ohio) Walsh Jesuit H.S. – Walsh Jesuit (4-1) was off this week. It returns to action Oct. 3 at St. Vincent-St. Mary.

Adam Replogle, DT, Centerville (Ohio) H.S. - Replogle was unable to go due to a foot injury, and his absence contributed to a stunning 7-0 loss to Springfield H.S. Friday night. The loss was the first for Centerville (4-2) in the Greater Western Ohio Conference's central division since 2005. In addition to his work at defensive tackle, Replogle has carried 24 times for 100 yards and seven touchdowns.

Colin Rodkey, OL, Monroeville (Penn.) Gateway H.S. – Gateway (5-0) continues to dominates its foes, pounding Norwin 49-7. Gateway has now outscored its first five foes by a combined 236-38. Gateway is the top-ranked team in WPIAL Class AAAA according to the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.

Kenny Watkins, CB, Bloomfield (Mich.) Brother Rice H.S. – Brother Rice squares off against Orchard Park St. Mary's tonight at 7 p.m.

Duwyce Wilson, WR, Columbus East – Wilson started off the game's scoring with a seven-yard touchdown run and then added an 80-yard touchdown reception to help Class 4A No. 1 Columbus East (6-0) to a 62-0 win over Floyd Central. Wilson caught three passes for 92 yards and the one touchdown. Wilson has 25 receptions for 539 yards and six touchdowns on the season.

Edward Wright-Baker, QB, Jeffersonville – Jeffersonville picked up its third straight win, topping Providence H.S. 33-20. Wright-Baker's stats were unavailable. Entering the game, Baker had completed 58-of-107 passes for 759 yards and three touchdown, and he's rushed for eight touchdowns.

Nick Zachery, QB/ATH, Sheridan – Zachery rushed for two scores, returned an interception for another, and kicked a 43-yard field goal to lead top-ranked Sheridan (6-0) to a 50-0 win over Delphi. Zachery had 12 carries for 170 yards and also completed 1-of-3 passes for 36 yards. On the season, Zachery has 75 carries for 773 yards and 15 touchdowns, and he's 6-of-23 passing for 152 yards and one touchdown.
