Lawrence Barnett, CB, Ft. Wayne Bishop Luers – Barnett had successful surgery on his left ankle Aug. 27, as doctors inserted plates and screws to the ankle that Barnett broke in Luers' season-opening win. Doctors have told Barnett he needs to be off the ankle for six weeks, and he'll then have at least six more weeks of rehab – meaning his senior season is over. IU Coach Bill Lynch has told Barnett his scholarship remains safe.

Ted Bolser, TE, Cincinnati, Ohio (Indian Hill) - Bolser caught touchdown passes of 21 and 15 yards to help Indian Hill (5-2) to a 62-0 win over Taylor. Entering the game, Bolser has 39 catches for 521 yards and five scores.

Dimitrius Carr, LB, Chicago (Ill.) Mt. Carmel H.S. – No. 14 Mt. Carmel (4-2) won its second straight in convincing style, topping DeLaSalle 44-8. Carr's stats were unavailable.

Charles Chapman, OT, Carleton (Mich.) Airport H.S. –Carleton Airport (5-1) posted its second straight shutout, topping Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central 21-0.

Jamonne Chester, WR, Redford (Mich.) Covenant H.S. – Detroit Old Redford Academy knocked off Covenant 24-20. Chester's stats were unavailable.

Javon Cornley, DE, Columbus, Ohio (Northland) - Northland spotted Whetstone a 7-0 lead in the first quarter but then ran off 17 straight to win 17-7.

Mitch Ewald, K, Aurora, Ill. (Waubonsie Valley) – Waubonsie Valley (3-3) won its third straight, topping Lake Park 26-7. Ewald's stats were unavailable.

Jeremy Gainer, LB, Livonia (Mich.) Clarenceville H.S. – Clarenceville (5-1) won its second straight, topping Westland Lutheran 45-12. Gainer's stats were unavailable.

Dusty Kiel, QB, Columbus East - Class 4A No. 1 Columbus East (7-0) piled up 616 yards of total offense and Kiel accounted for 407 of it in a 75-14 win over Madison. Kiel completed 11-of-13 passes for 293 yards and five touchdowns and he added another seven carries for 114 yards and another score to lead East. On the season, Kiel has completed 88-of-128 passes for 1,732 yards, 22 touchdowns and two interceptions, and he's rushed for 591 yards and eight scores on 60 carries.

Pat McShane, OT, Cuyahoga Falls (Ohio) Walsh Jesuit H.S. – Walsh Jesuit (4-2) dropped a hard-fought contest to St. Vincent-St. Mary, 10-6.

Adam Replogle, DT, Centerville (Ohio) H.S. - One week losing its first conference game in three years via a stunning 7-0 shutout Springfield, Centerville (5-2) bounced back with 411 yards of total offense in a 37-31 win over Beavercreek. In addition to his work at defensive tackle, Replogle has carried 24 times for 100 yards and seven touchdowns.

Colin Rodkey, OL, Monroeville (Penn.) Gateway H.S. – Gateway (6-0) posted another easy win, pounding Hempfield 42-0. Rodkey helped pave the way for Gateway running back Brian Williams, who ran for 307 yards on 19 carries. Gateway has now outscored its first six foes by a combined 278-38. Gateway is the top-ranked team in WPIAL Class AAAA according to the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.

Kenny Watkins, CB, Birmingham (Mich.) Brother Rice H.S. – Brother Rice lost to Warren De LaSalle 9-7 to drop to 3-3 on the season.

Duwyce Wilson, WR, Columbus East – Wilson saw limited action in Columbus East's 75-14 win over Madison, but still caught three passes for 108 yards and two touchdowns. Wilson caught a 12-yard touchdown pass from Dusty Kiel in the first quarter and then added an 84-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter. Wilson has 28 receptions for 647 yards and eight touchdowns on the season.

Edward Wright-Baker, QB, Jeffersonville – Jeffersonville (3-4) saw its three-game winning streak come to an end with a 31-28 loss to New Albany. Wright-Baker did his part, completed 14-of-21 throws for 196 yards and two touchdowns, and he rushed for another 70 yards on 17 carries. On the season, Wright-Baker has accounted for 1,443 yards of total offense and 15 touchdowns.

Nick Zachery, QB/ATH, Sheridan – Zachery scored on touchdown runs of 38, 48 and 75 yards and threw for a fourth score to lead Class A No. 1 Sheridan (7-0) to a 48-6 win over Tipton. Zachery rushed 18 times for 186 yards and completed 4-of-4 passes for 91 yards and a score. On the season, Zachery has 85 carries for 959 yards and 18 touchdowns, and he's 10-of-27 passing for 243 yards and two touchdowns.
