Lawrence Barnett, CB, Ft. Wayne Bishop Luers – Barnett had successful surgery on his left ankle Aug. 27, as doctors inserted plates and screws to the ankle that Barnett broke in Luers' season-opening win. Doctors have told Barnett he needs to be off the ankle for six weeks, and he'll then have at least six more weeks of rehab – meaning his senior season is over. IU Coach Bill Lynch has told Barnett his scholarship remains safe.

Ted Bolser, TE, Cincinnati, Ohio (Indian Hill) - Indian Hill cruised to an easy win over Finneytown, 47-20. Indian Hill threw for 425 yards in the game, although Bolser's stats were unavailable. Entering the game, Bolser had caught 50 passes for 711 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Dimitrius Carr, LB, Chicago (Ill.) Mt. Carmel H.S. – Mt. Carmel (5-2) got 288 yards of total offense from quarterback Jordan Lynch to lead the way in a 35-14 win over Loyola. Carr's stats were unavailable. On a side note, Mt. Carmel H.S. is the same program that produced Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb.

Charles Chapman, OT, Carleton (Mich.) Airport H.S. –Carleton Airport (5-1) played Grosse Ile, but no results or statistics were available.

Jamonne Chester, WR, Redford (Mich.) Covenant H.S. – Redford Covenant (3-4) lost to Sherling Heights Parkway 34-22 for its third straight setback. . Chester's stats were unavailable.

Javon Cornley, DE, Columbus, Ohio (Northland) - Northland raced to a 45-0 halftime lead and cruised to a 48-0 victory.

Mitch Ewald, K, Aurora, Ill. (Waubonsie Valley) – Waubonsie Valley (4-3) extended its win streak to four games with an easy 37-12 win over Bloom H.S. Ewald's stats were unavailable.

Jeremy Gainer, LB, Livonia (Mich.) Clarenceville H.S. – Clarenceville (6-1) slipped past Birch Run, 15-14. Gainer's stats were unavailable.

Dusty Kiel, QB, Columbus East - In a match-up of future IU quarterbacks, it was all Dusty Kiel as he totaled 358 of total offense and five touchdowns to lead top-ranked East (8-0) to a 34-6 win. Kiel completed 11-of-19 throws for 225 yards and three scores and added another 133 yards rushing and two more touchdowns. On the season, Kiel has completed 99-of-147 passes for 1,957 yards, 25 touchdowns and two interceptions, and he's rushed for 724 yards and 10 scores on 79 carries.

Pat McShane, OT, Cuyahoga Falls (Ohio) Walsh Jesuit H.S. – Walsh Jesuit (5-2) won for the fourth time in its last five games, topping Benedictine 35-21.

Adam Replogle, DT, Centerville (Ohio) H.S. - Replogle was back on the field after a three-week absence due to a broken foot, and it was a disappointing night as Centerville (5-3) fell to Northmont 28-21 in overtime. Replogle – who plays fullback as well – scored on a pair of short touchdown runs in the game, but was stopped on a pair of critical runs as well. The first came on a 4th-and-2 late in the fourth quarter with Centerville leading by 7, setting up a tying touchdown. In overtime, Replogle and his quarterback misconnected on a handoff and the fumble ended the game.

Colin Rodkey, OL, Monroeville (Penn.) Gateway H.S. – After outscoring its first six foes 278-38, top-ranked Gateway survived its toughest test of the season Friday against Erie McDowell, winning 30-18. Brian Williams ran for 192 yards on 19 carries to lead the way for Gateway (7-0), which is the top-ranked team in WPIAL Class AAAA according to the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.

Kenny Watkins, CB, Birmingham (Mich.) Brother Rice H.S. – Brother Rice (3-3) plays Detroit Jesuit today at 1 p.m.

Duwyce Wilson, WR, Columbus East – Wilson had one of his biggest games of the season, catching six passes for 167 yards and two touchdowns to help top-ranked Columbus East (8-0) to a 34-6 win over Jeffersonville. Wilson caught a 19-yard touchdown from Dusty Kiel in the first quarter and then added an 80-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter. With the win, East clinches at least a share of the Hoosier Hills Conference title. Wilson has 34 receptions for 814 yards and 10 touchdowns on the season.

Edward Wright-Baker, QB, Jeffersonville – It was a tough night for Wright-Baker in a 34-6 loss to top-ranked Columbus East. The dual threat quarterback was limited to only 13 yards rushing on seven carries to go along with an 11-of-21 effort through the air for 101 yards. On the season, Wright-Baker has accounted for 1,457 yards of total offense and 15 touchdowns.

Nick Zachery, QB/ATH, Sheridan – Zachery scored on touchdown runs of 50 and 64 yards to lead Class A No. 1 Sheridan (8-0) to a 42-7 win over Rensselaer. Zachery finished with 137 yards rushing on nine carries and was also 1-of-2 passing for 27 yards. On the season, Zachery has 94 carries for 1,096 yards and 20 touchdowns, and he's 11-of-29 passing for 270 yards and two touchdowns.
