Lawrence Barnett, CB, Ft. Wayne Bishop Luers – Barnett had successful surgery on his left ankle Aug. 27, as doctors inserted plates and screws to the ankle that Barnett broke in Luers' season-opening win. Barnett began rehab the second week of October and has an outside chance of returning to the field late in the playoffs. IU Coach Bill Lynch has told Barnett his scholarship remains safe.

Ted Bolser, TE, Cincinnati, Ohio (Indian Hill) - Indian Hill throttled Deer Creek, 55-12. Bolser's stats were unavailable. Entering the game, Bolser had caught 50 passes for 711 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Dimitrius Carr, LB, Chicago (Ill.) Mt. Carmel H.S. – Carr burst through the line of scrimmage and sacked Homewood Flossmoor quarterback Mark Williams on the first play from scrimmage, setting the tone in No. 13 Mt. Carmel's 49-0 win. Mt. Carmel (6-2) recorded seven sacks in the game.

Charles Chapman, OT, Carleton (Mich.) Airport H.S. –Carleton Airport (6-1) is ranked seventh in Division III according to the Detroit Free Press, and they did nothing to hurt their positioning Friday with a 50-15 win over Flat Rock H.S.

Jamonne Chester, WR, Redford (Mich.) Covenant H.S. – Redford Covenant (3-4) played Auburn Hills Oakland Christian Friday, but results were unavailable. Covenant has already been eliminated from the chance to qualify for the state playoffs, so Chester's season will wrap up with next Saturday's game against Ecorse H.S.

Javon Cornley, DE, Columbus, Ohio (Northland) - Brookhaven scored a pair of defensive touchdowns and raced past Northland 38-0. Northland wraps up the regular season next weekend against Beechcroft.

Mitch Ewald, K, Aurora, Ill. (Waubonsie Valley) - Waubonsie Valley (5-3) won its fifth straight, whipping South Elgin 45-19 to become eligible for the postseason. Ewald was a perfect 6-of-6 on extra points and also kicked a 31-yard field goal.

Jeremy Gainer, LB, Livonia (Mich.) Clarenceville H.S. – Clarenceville (7-1) cruised to an easy 48-0 win over Hamtramck. Gainer's stats were unavailable.

Dusty Kiel, QB, Columbus East - Kiel accounted for 198 yards of total offense and became Columbus East's all-time leading passer in East's 44-6 win over Bedford North Lawrence. With the win, No. 1 East (9-0) won the Hoosier Hills Conference for the fifth straight season. Kiel completed 7-of-12 passes for 136 yards and a touchdown, giving him 4,819 career yards to move him past older brother Drew on the school's all-time list. On the season, Kiel has completed 106-of-159 passes for 2,093 yards, 26 touchdowns and two interceptions, and he's rushed for 786 yards and 10 scores on 89 carries.

Pat McShane, OT, Cuyahoga Falls (Ohio) Walsh Jesuit H.S. – Walsh Jesuit (5-2) plays Canisius of Buffalo, N.Y., Saturday at 1 p.m.

Adam Replogle, DT, Centerville (Ohio) H.S. - Centerville (6-3) kept its playoff hopes alive with a 31-14 win over Wayne H.S. Centerville ran for 446 yards in the game, led of Logan Hanes who piled up 257 yards on the ground. Replogle continued to play a big role in the rushing game as well with touchdown runs of 11, 2 and 2 yards. Replogle has now rushed for 12 touchdowns this season despite missing three games with a foot injury.

Colin Rodkey, OL, Monroeville (Penn.) Gateway H.S. – Rodkey watched from the sidelines as Gateway (8-0) destroyed Connellsville 56-3. Gateway piled up nearly 500 yards of offense in the win and set up a huge game next weekend against McKeesport. Gateway is the No. 3 team in the country according to USA Today and is also the top-ranked team in WPIAL Class AAAA according to the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.

Kenny Watkins, CB, Birmingham (Mich.) Brother Rice H.S. – Kevonten Martin-Manley scored on a 45-yard punt return and a 49-yard reception to lead Brother Rice (5-3) to a 33-7 win over Flint Powers. Watkins' stats were unavailable.

Duwyce Wilson, WR, Columbus East – It was a relatively quiet night for Wilson, who caught two passes for 55 yards in Columbus East's 44-6 win over Bedford North Lawrence, wrapping up a perfect 9-0 regular season. Columbus East will play Seymour next Friday in the first round of the sectional. Wilson has 36 receptions for 869 yards and 10 touchdowns on the season.

Edward Wright-Baker, QB, Jeffersonville – Wright-Baker completed 8-of-15 passes for 113 yards and two touchdowns while running back Jaime Goldsmith ran for 189 yards and three scores as Jeffersonville (4-5) topped Jennings County. The same two teams will meet again next Friday in the first round of the sectional. On the season, Wright-Baker has accounted for 1,620 yards of total offense and 17 touchdowns.

Nick Zachery, QB/ATH, Sheridan – Class A No. 1 Sheridan (8-1) lost for the first time since Oct. 14, 2005, as it fell 37-7 to Class 3A No. 2 West Lafayette, 37-7. The loss ended Sheridan's 44-game winning streak. Zachery was limited to 79 yards rushing on 25 carries, and he completed only 3-of-10 passes for 36 yards and was intercepted twice. On the season, Zachery has 119 carries for 1,171 yards and 21 touchdowns, and he's 14-of-39 passing for 306 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively he has scored on a fumble return and three interception returns.
