Bloomington – As Indiana prepares for the regular season finale at Wisconsin, the availability of two backcourt players is in doubt.
Devan Dumes and Malik Story have both been limited in practice late this week. Story is battling a case of strep throat, while Dumes left Tuesday's Michigan State game after re-aggravating a knee injury and hasn't returned to full contact practice.
"(Devan) has not practiced," Crean said Friday afternoon. "He's been shooting and things like that, but hasn't practiced. So I don't know what to say (about his availability)."
Crean said the training staff is treating Dumes' injury as a sprain, and it doesn't appear to be anything that will be a long-term issue. But it has clearly clouded things in the short term.
"It's enough that it's keeping him out and it's bothering him," Crean said. "We'll see how it goes."
Story, meanwhile, didn't practice on Thursday and was back on the practice floor in a limited capacity on Friday participating in 5-0 drills as he tries to get ready for Sunday's 7 p.m. match-up in Madison.
