Bloomington – Indiana has a new offer on the table for a top Class of 2012 prospect.

Hoosier Nation has learned that Coach Tom Crean has extended an offer to 7'0", 220-pound big man Peter Jurkin. A native of Sudan with a 7'6" wing span, Jurkin starred on the Team Indiana Elite 15-and-under squad that also featured D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera, Hanner Perea and Obij Aget, among others.

The Indiana staff has had its collective eye on Jurkin all summer and had him on campus for the team's Elite Camp back in June.

A member of Mark Adams' A-HOPE Foundation that provides opportunities for basketball players from overseas to get an education in the United States, Jurkin is playing his high school basketball at United Faith Christian H.S. in Charlotte, N.C. As a freshman, Jurkin helped the team to the Class A Independent School Athletic Association championship.
