Sophomore guard Matt Roth injured his right foot in practice Wednesday and is unlikely to play in this weekend's O'Reilly Auto Parts Puerto Rico Tip-Off, IU announced today.
The 6'3" shooting guard was taken to the hospital for x-rays, although there were no details on the results. He will be evaluated further when he returns with the team to Bloomington following the three-game tournament.
Roth is averaging 2.0 points and 5.5 minutes in the season's first two games. A year ago, the Washington, Ill., native averaged 6.7 points overall and 7.8 points in Big Ten games. He ranked eighth in the Big Ten with 1.84 3-pointers made/game.
