Victor Oladipo, 6-4, 200, Dematha Catholic (Md.) H.S. – After falling from the ranks of the unbeaten with a 79-71 loss to No. 13 Mater Dei (Cal.) on Monday, No. 17 DeMatha (18-1) bounced back with wins over O'Connell (83-55) and Carroll (70-64). Oladipo had a solid week, scoring 15 in the loss to DeMatha, 6 against O'Connell and then 14 against Carroll. In the Friday night win over Carroll, DeMatha found itself trailing by seven at half and three at the end of three quarters before outscoring Carroll 19-10 in the final quarter to secure the win. Oladipo is now averaging 11.4 points/game. DeMatha has a couple of huge games this week. On Friday it plays at No. 16 Gonzaga, and then follows that up with a Saturday night road game against St. Anthony's (N.J.).

Will Sheehey, 6-6, 190, Sagemont (Fla.) Upper School– Sheehey scored 20 points but got very little help as Sagemont (14-6) fell to Coral Springs Christian over the weekend in a match-up of unbeaten league teams. Earlier in the week, Sagemont posted a 59-44 win over Cooper City thanks to a fourth-quarter effort that saw Sagemont outscore its foe 21-1 to overcome a five-point deficit. Sheehey wasn't listed in the postgame boxscore for that match-up. Sheehye is now averaging 19.8 points and 7.1 rebounds per game.

Matt Carlino, 6-2, 180, Bloomington (Ind.) South H.S. - Class 4A No. 1 Bloomington South (14-0) pushed its unbeaten streak to 40 games with wins over Martinsville () and Franklin Central (61-48) over the weekend. Carlino had identical 13-point, three-rebound performances in the two wins while making 10-of-15 shots from the floor in the two contests. Carlino is now averaging 15.0 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.4 assists and is shooting 52.6 percent from the field (80-of-152) and 38.5 percent from behind the 3-point arc (25-of-65). Currently ranked No. 9 nationally according to USA Today, South returns to action on Friday night in a highly-anticipated match-up against No. 7 Pike and its star junior Marquis Teague.

Austin Etherington,6-6, 190, Hamilton Heights (Ind.) H.S. - After having its five-game winning streak snapped on Friday in a 61-51 loss to Eastern, Etherington and his team bounced back with a 76-53 win over Sheridan on Saturday night to improve to 10-4 on the season. Etherington scored 29 points in the Sheridan win, to maintain his standing as one of the Indianapolis area's leading scorers. Etherington is now averaging 22.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 1.5 blocks.

Other Notables: Broad Ripple H.S. sophomore Ron Patterson knocked down a 3-pointer with six seconds left to cap his team's 62-61 win over Howe H.S. to win the Indianapolis City High School championship. Patterson's shot was the final points in a Broad Ripple rally that saw them overcome an 18-point deficit with three minutes remaining in the third quarter. Patterson finished with 14 points in the contest….D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera scored 14 to help Class 4A No. 2 North Central (12-2) to a stunningly easy 99-55 win over Lawrence North. Purdue-bound guard Terone Johnson scored 32 on 10-of-11 shooting in the game, and North Central made 31-of-40 overall. One night later, Smith-Rivera scored 19 in a 65-50 win over Jeremiah Davis' Muncie Central squad. North Central was hot at the outset of that game as well, making nine of its first 10 shots on its way to a 26-point first quarter. Davis, meanwhile, earned his first start in two weeks and led his team with 21 points. On Friday night, Davis had 18 off the bench in a 69-58 win over Muncie Southside …Class 3A No. 1 Washington (13-1) bounced back from its first loss of the season with an 84-48 win over Pike Central Saturday night behind 28 points and 12 rebounds from Cody Zeller. One night earlier, Zeller played only 21 minutes due to foul trouble but still had 22 points and nine rebounds. Unfortunately for Zeller, it wasn't enough as Washington fell to defending Class 3A state champion Princeton 61-59…Arden (N.C.) junior Marshall Plumlee had a trio of solid efforts last week in lopsided wins over Wesleyan Christian Academy (84-51), Mountain Heritage (90-56) and Rabun Gap (98-61). Plumlee had six blocks against Wesleyan Christian; 10 points, eight rebounds and two blocks against Mountain Heritage; and 10 points and 12 rebounds against Rabun Gap. Christ School is 24-1 and ranked No. 19 nationally by USA Today…Carmel H.S. sophomore center A.J. Hammons had 14 points, 14 rebounds and seven blocks to lead his team to a 64-50 win over Pike. The Red Devils, meanwhile, got only 11 points from star junior Marquis Teague on a tough 4-of-18 shooting night. Hammons followed that up with a 10-point, six-rebound, four-block performance in a 54-53 win over Terre Haute South…Pendleton Heights' sophomore Kellen Dunham continues to put up big numbers, scoring 23 to lead his team to a 74-53 win that lifted them to 10-4 on the season…with IU Coach Tom Crean in attendance, Hamilton Southeastern sophomore Gary Harris had 14 to lead his team to a 55-49 win over Avon. Avon sophomore Austin Burgett was held to nine points in the loss, while junior Kendall Griffin had 26…Florida Air Academy senior Will Yeguette had 18 points (including an 8-of-10 free-throw shooting effort) in a 55-53 win over Sebastian River H.S. on Saturday…Lake Clifton senior Josh Selby kept putting up big numbers, scoring 36 in an 86-80 win over Patterson and then following that up with 28 more in a 60-48 win over Northwestern.
