Bloomington – The first player to commit to Indiana will be the last to sign, but Andre Kates says he will ink with the Hoosiers today.
The standout junior college cornerback from the ASA Institute in Brooklyn, N.Y., confirmed to Hoosier Nation that he will be signing his Indiana letter of intent this morning at the school before holding a press conference immediately afterwards.
Kates was the first player to pledge to Indiana, doing so back in May. But there were concerns that he was reconsidering that decision as he continued to take visits to various programs.
Those fears should be eased soon once Kates' letter of intent arrives at the IU Football complex.
