Bloomington – A case of the flu is going to keep Moses Abraham from making it to Bloomington this weekend.
That's the word from his guardian and trainer, Joe Boncore, who said the 6'9", 235-pounder was diagnosed with the flu Thursday.
Abraham was in attendance for Wednesday night's Maryland win over No. 4 Duke and worked out Thursday morning before feeling ill. According to Boncore, he went to the hospital after yesterday's workout and received the diagnosis.
Despite the cancelled weekend visit, Boncore said Indiana has surfaced as one of Abraham's four finalists. In addition to Indiana, various reports suggest the other three finalists are Tennessee, Maryland and Georgetown.
Boncore said there remains a possibility that Abraham will still get to Bloomington before he makes his decision, which is expected to come next Sunday, March 14.
"Moses is trying to get over this and we will see for next week," Boncore said. "We don't need to see a game."
