Bloomington – It's a busy couple of days for Cedar Rapids (Iowa) junior Jarrod Uthoff.

The 6'8", 200-pound junior from Jefferson H.S. was in Bloomington Wednesday to take an unofficial visit to the Hoosier program. It was just the start of a four-campus recruiting swing for Uthoff, who left Bloomington and headed to Indianapolis Wednesday night to check out Coach Brad Stevens' Butler program.

From there, Uthoff was expected to also take a closer look at Mike Brey's Notre Dame program and then Bruce Webber's Illinois program before returning home to Cedar Rapids.

In addition to that quartet, Uthoff has also been getting interest from Iowa, Iowa State, Creighton, Northern Iowa, Wichita State and Albany. Albany and UNI have both already offered.

An All-State selection as a junior, Uthoff averaged 21 points and 10 rebounds per game this past season and earned Area Player of the Year honors. An inside-outside forward, Uthoff shot 55 percent from the field and 80 percent from the free-throw line for a Jefferson H.S. team that qualified for the state tournament for the first time since 1999.

While there's still plenty of time before the early signing period for the Class of 2011 standout, indications are that Uthoff won't wait long before making a decision. He told Iowaprepsports.com last month that he planned to make a decision in a matter of weeks.
