Cyclone Commitment Roundup Week 3

Only Cyclone Sports Report provides you with a complete rundown of how each of Iowa State's 2011 commitments fared during their games this past week.

Brock Dagel: The Cherokee (IA) Washington High School left tackle helped pave the way on offense as they defeated Maple Valley 39-18. They are now 1-2 on the season.

Sam Richardson: The Winter Park (FL) High School quarterback had another solid outing as they won their second game of the year by defeating Ocoee High School 42-16. Sam completed 8 of 11 passes for 211 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran for 79 yards.

Kyle Boyd: Mesquite (TX) Horn linebacker Kyle Boyd had a great game leading them to a 35-28 victory over Hebron to run their record to 2-1 on the season. Kyle had 11 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, and 1 pass break-up.

Tad Ecby: Houston St.Pius X (TX) High School also moved to 2-1 on the season with the help of the future Cyclone wide receiver who only caught one pass but it went for a 60 yard touchdown that helped them get the 31-27 victory over Episcopal High School.

Devin Lemke: Iowa Falls (IA) Alden High School defeated Clarion Goldfield 43-24 as the defensive end actually made more of an impact on offense due to the fact that opposing offenses continue to run away from his side of the defense. He had 4 catches for 45 yards and two touchdowns as they moved to 2-1 on the season.

Darian Cotton: Mount Pleasant Community (IA) High School got their first victory of the season when they defeated Fairfield 28-14 as the future Iowa State defensive back contributed 8 tackles and recovered one fumble during the win.

Sam Richardson: Clear Springs (TX) High School just missed out on staying undeated when they fell to Cinco Ranch High School 38-35. Richardson had another solid game coming up with six tackles.

Ted Lampkin: Omaha Central (NE) High School fell to 0-3 as they lost 22-7 to Millard North. Teddy had another solid performance as he caught 5 balls for 57 yards and the only touchdown which went for 30 yards.

Kenneth Lynn: Dallas Kimball (TX) High School had an easy week as they moved to 2-1 on the season with a 27-0 victory over Lincoln High School. Kenneth had a nice game making four tackles and one pass deflection.

Jevohn Miller: Brooklyn Guernsey Malcolm (IA) High School won their second straight game 30-7 over Montezuma as Miller had ll tackles and 3 tackles for loss. He also had 4 carries for 25 yards on offense.

Jared Brackens: North Mesquite (TX) High School is now 2-1 on the season as they defeated South Grand Prairie 32-21 as Brackens had three tackles during the victory.

David Irving: The San Jacinto (CA) defensive end had a huge game during their 21-0 victory over Lakeside as he ended the night with 2 sacks and one forced fumble that he ran back for a touchdown.
