Cyclone Sports Report talks with Negus Webster-Chan who is one of Iowa State's top 2012 recruiting targets

Cyclone Sports Report: What schools do you have offers from?

Negus Webster-Chan: Iowa State, Cincinnati, and UNLV

Cyclone Sports Report: What are the other main schools recruiting you at the moment?

Negus Webster-Chan: West Virginia, Kentucky, Louisville, Ohio State, LSU, Xavier, Washington, and Clemson

Cyclone Sports Report: What is your current height and weight?

Negus Webster-Chan: I'm 6-foot-6 and I weigh 185 pounds.

Cyclone Sports Report: Who is the main coach that is recruiting you for Iowa State?

Negus Webster-Chan: Coach T.J. (Otzelberger) and he was just down here a few weeks ago. He has seen me play up in Canada and at a lot of other places. We have a real good relationship.

Cyclone Sports Report: What do the Iowa State coaches like about your game?

Negus Webster-Chan: They like my versatility in that I can guard a lot of different positions and they like my ability to score.

Cyclone Sports Report: You are currently at Huntington Prep in West Virginia but you are originally from Ontario, Canada. Do you know Iowa State freshman Melvin Ejim?

Negus Webster-Chan: Yeah, we played in some tournaments together over the last few years. He's a good friend and he's told me a lot about Iowa State. He said it's a good area and that Iowa State gets all the attention because there are no pro teams. He wants me to come out for a visit.

Cyclone Sports Report: Will you be taking a visit to Iowa State this year?

Negus Webster-Chan: Yeah, I'll likely be coming out for one of their games this year but we haven't set a date yet.

Cyclone Sports Report: Have you taken any visits so far?

Negus Webster-Chan: Yeah, I took a visit to Kentucky.

Cyclone Sports Report: What are you looking for in a school when you take your visits?

Negus Webster-Chan: I'm looking for a good environment and to have a good relationship with the coaches. I also will talk about things with my mom because I really want to know what she thinks before I make any decision and just an overall good system.

Cyclone Sports Report: When are you looking to make a final decision?

Negus Webster-Chan: I will probably decide at the end of this year or the beginning of my senior season.
