Anthony Odunsi: I'm real happy and I'm just glad with how the team is progressing because our main goal is to win a state championship. This year we are a lot more athletic and talented which takes a lot of pressure off me from feeling like I have to do a lot more.
Cyclone Sports Report: In the past you played both wing spots and also some point guard. What position are you playing this season?
Anthony Odunsi: My coach has me strictly playing the one but I can still play both the one and the two-guard position if needed.
Cyclone Sports Report: What have you improved on the most?
Anthony Odunsi: I would have to say being unselfish. This team is really talented so I don't have to do everything. I just want to be a helping hand and make my teammates better during each game.
Cyclone Sports Report: What are you trying to improve on?
Anthony Odunsi: I still feel that I have to do a better job of looking at the whole floor so that I can make sure that all my teammates are satisfied.
Cyclone Sports Report: Are you staying in touch with the Iowa State coaches on a consistent basis?
Anthony Odunsi: Yeah, we definitely keep in touch and I have definitely been talking to Coach Hoiberg and Coach T.J. (Otzelberger) a lot. I ask them questions and they tell how I can improve any of my weaknesses.
Cyclone Sports Report: What are your thoughts on the Cyclones starting off the season with a 12-2 record?
Anthony Odunsi: I think Coach Hoiberg is doing a great job with them because he really allows his players the freedom to succeed. I think they are all real comfortable with him and I definitely think he is the reason that they been so successful.
Cyclone Sports Report: Do you talk with any of the current Iowa State players?
Anthony Odunsi: Yeah, I mostly talk with Melvin Ejim. He's a great guy and we have become pretty close since I first met him.
Cyclone Sports Report: Will you be visiting Iowa State any time soon?
Anthony Odunsi: I haven't set up anything yet but I definitely want to get up there so that I can see a game.
