Syracuse is showing some serious interest in Chicago St. Rita (Ill.) running back Tommy Mister — everything short of a scholarship offer — but the three-star running back told AllCyclones.com he remains a hard commit to Iowa State, contingent on one thing.
"We've just got to start getting a couple wins going," Mister said Sunday evening.Mister wasn't offered by Syracuse because the staff didn't want to throw away an offer at a commit. Virginia is another school that's shown interest. "I've got to see how stuff plays out with those guys," Mister said of Cuse and Virginia. After its 27-21 loss to Iowa on Saturday, the Cyclones sit at 0-2 with Big 12 play coming up in October.
"My Dad, his outlook on things, he wants to win," said Mister, a June commit. "He doesn't want me to go on to a losing program. It's on him right now."
Through three games Mister has 502 yards rushing with nine touchdowns.
