O'Meally Schedules ISU Visit; Talks Future

All-America cornerback Corry O'Meally has an official visit set and would like to help the Cyclones fill a void in their 2014 recruiting class

Ellsworth (IA) JUCO cornerback Corry O'Meally, a second-team NJCAA All-American, told AllCyclones.com he's scheduled an official visit for the weekend of Jan. 24.

O'Meally visited Ames for an unofficial during the fall and has been an Iowa State lean since receiving an offer.

The Cyclones have been unable to accept a commitment from O'Meally — who's now a May grad — until they see a satisfactory transcript. O'Meally said he needs a good spring semester but is confident.

"It's on the right track for May," O'Meally said Thursday.

If O'Meally can prove he can take care of business in the classroom, he'd like to commit to Iowa State and fill a void in the 2014 recruiting class for the Cyclones, who are looking to add a JUCO cornerback.

"After my official [I'd like to commit]," O'Meally said. "Once I get to meet all the coaches and things like that."

O'Meally hails from Miami, Florida, and has three years to play two seasons. O'Meally said he got a call Wednesday from Southeast Missouri about setting up a visit as well.
