  • The Jayhawks average 79.1 points per game and shoot a Big 12-leading 50.1 percent from the floor, with a scoring margin of 10.4 points. Kansas has outshot 13 of its 15 opponents in 2013-14 and its bench has outscored 10 opponents this season and averages 23.7 points a game.

  • Per, Kansas has the No. 9 adjusted offensive efficiency and No. 33 adjusted defensive efficiency, with an average possession length of 16.9 seconds (the Cyclones' come in at 14.8).

  • Kansas also has the No. 15 effective field goal percentage, at 55 percent, with a team clip of 35.1 from downtown and 55.9 on two-point shots, seventh-highest nationally.

  • Defensively, Kansas is good at limiting offensive rebounds and blocking shots, but isn't great at forcing turnovers (No. 302 nationally in turnover percentage).

  • Andrew Wiggins notched his fifth 20-point effort of the season Saturday against Kansas State and leads the team with 15.7 points per game, ninth overall in the conference and best among freshman.

  • Keep an eye on Wayne Selden Jr., KU's leading scorer in Big 12 play who's dropped 24 and 20 points in his most recent games. Selden has made a team-high 20 three-pointers on the season and is scoring 10.3 points per game.

  • Perry Ellis is second on the team in scoring at 13.7 points per game and second in the conference in field goal percentage (57.9). Ellis scored 23 points on 10-for-12 shooting against Iowa State last March in the Big 12 semifinals.

  • Freshman center Joel Embiid has a team-high 36 blocked shots and his clip of 2.4 per game is second in the conference.

    Iowa State

  • The Cyclones are among the NCAA's top 10 in four statistical categories: assist/turnover ratio (first), assists (first), scoring (sixth) defensive rebounding (t-second) and scoring margin (ninth).

  • Iowa State is one of seven schools nationally with three players averaging at least 15 points per game. Five players have scored at least 20 points in a game.

  • DeAndre game told reporters before the game he'd play (left ankle). The senior point guard is averaging 16.5 points, 7.3 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game.

  • Dustin Hogue leads the Big 12 in rebounds per game (9.3).

  • Melvin Ejim is first on the team in points per game (18) and has hit double figures in each game after missing the first three contests with a knee injury.

  • Kansas leads the all-time series with Iowa State, 173-59, dating back to 1908, with wins in 16 of the last 17 meetings.

  • ISU's last win over the Jayhawks was Jan. 28, 2012, a 72-64 score at Hilton.

  • Kansas holds a 67-37 advantage in Ames, including a 23-19 mark at Hilton Coliseum.

  • KU head coach Bill Self is 19-3 all-time against Iowa State.
