Adam Buirge Seeing His Stock Rise

Adam Buirge's production on the field speaks for itself but it's a recent combine performance that's opened the eyes of one school, he says

Adam Buirge's junior season — 85 tackles and four interceptions as a cornerback for Park Center High in Minnesota — speaks for itself, but as a 6-foot, 180-pounder trying to land an FBS offer, he went to Chicago two weekends ago to the NFTC with plenty to prove.

After a day that saw him run a 4.56 40-yard-dash (slow for his standards), record a vertical of 36 inches, time at 4.18 in the shuttle and earn a SPARQ score of 104.6, one of the best in camp, Buirge feels he accomplished what he needed to.

College coaches are beginning to take notice. North Dakota and South Dakota State have offered, but Iowa State's long been a school Buirge had his eye on, getting to Ames several times in the past year, including March 29 for a Junior Day.

His numbers in Chicago ensure he'll return in June for an Iowa State camp, where he'll have the chance to nab an offer.

"Coach (Mitchell) Moore told me the coaches were very impressed with my results," Buirge told AllCyclones.com on Friday after ISU coach Brandon Blaney stopped by his school. "I think it opened their eyes a little bit."
