Quick-Hitter: Meeker to Cyclones

In-state offensive lineman Bryce Meeker ended Iowa State's three-month-long commitment drought Monday morning

Prairie (IA) offensive lineman Bryce Meeker made quick work of the Iowa State offer he received Saturday after camp.

The 2015 offensive lineman committed to the Cyclones on Monday morning, a source told AllCyclones.com. Meeker confirmed the news via text and then over the phone.

"I talked to my parents, I talked to my friends, I went in this morning to talk to my coach and they all said it's a great place and they'd support me there," Meeker said. "My Mom and my Dad have both visited there. This is where my heart is so they're gonna support me."

Meeker, a 6-foot-5, 295-pounder who expects to play either guard or center for Iowa State, is the second pledge of the 2015 class for ISU, joining Bobby McMillen, who committed March 8.

The Cyclones will likely have Meeker play inside in college, either at guard or center, and he will cross-train there this fall.

We'll have more on Meeker in a bit, including a full interview and analysis.
