VIDEO: Rhoads Talks Baylor Loss, Running Game

Iowa State coach Paul Rhoads was happy with his team's second half effort against No. 7 Baylor, but said the Cyclones are still searching for their rushing attack

Trailing 35-7 at halftime Saturday against No. 7 Baylor, Iowa State answered in the second half with three touchdowns.

The Cyclones were never able to draw within striking distance of the Bears in an eventual 49-28 loss, but Iowa State coach Paul Rhoads was pleased with his team's late effort nonetheless.

"Very pleased with the way our guys came out and played in the second half," Rhoads said. "Quite honestly, pleased with the way we finished up the first quarter. One of our goals in this football game was to start positively, and we did that being 14-7 at the end of the first quarter [which] gave us an opportunity to compete in this ballgame. We didn’t follow that up in the second quarter, I believe that was obvious."
