Hitting the Recruiting Trail

Iowa State has hit its second bye week in the 2014 schedule, but it again doesn't mean rest, at least not for the coaching staff. The Cyclones may not play this week, but they'll be busy on the recruiting trail

While college football teams around the country ramp up preparation for games later this week, Iowa State coaches will be looking ahead.

The Cyclones plan to make several visits to the south beginning in the later part of this week as they see both commits and prospects in multiple states. After Iowa State used its first bye week to hit California, Mississippi, Iowa, Illinois and North Carolina, it will see Texas and Florida this week.

Those visits will allow the Cyclones to see several current commits in action as well as prospects who the team is keying in on.
