Tristan Nickelson Commits to Iowa State

Iowa State picked up a commitment from Navarro College (TX) offensive tackle Tristan Nickelson on Monday night. Nickelson is Iowa State's 14th commit in the 2015 Class and will be a mid-year transfer

Tristan Nickelson picked up an Iowa State offer just more than a week ago and has decided, without a visit, that Ames is where he wants to be.

Nickelson, an offensive tackle out of Navarro College (TX), will be a mid-year transfer and will have four years to play three. The 6-foot-7, 305-pound lineman drew attention from a number of schools out of high school before attending a military academy.

Nickelson is Iowa State's third offensive lineman in the 2015 Class, joining high school commits Bryce Meeker and Julian Good-Jones. He plans to make an official visit to Iowa State on Nov. 22 when Iowa State takes on Texas Tech.
