Where Things Stand: D-Line Recruiting

While Iowa State has seen two JUCO defensive linemen decommit this week, it's possible the Cyclones could get visits from multiple D-linemen on Nov. 22

In a span of two days, JUCO defensive linemen Xavier Pegues and Larry Jefferson decommitted from Iowa State, AllCyclones.com has learned, leaving the Cyclones with no current JUCO players in the 2015 Class and on the lookout for new commits.

Pegues is headed to West Virginia, where he recently visited, and Jefferson appears headed there, too. After originally committing to the Mountaineers on Oct. 1, Jefferson visited Iowa State and flipped. He'll make a trip to Morgantown, W.V., on Nov. 23, he told AllCyclones.com.

Even before those decommitments, word was that Iowa State could get visits from multiple JUCO defensive linemen when it plays Texas Tech on Nov. 22. Two players that could very likely visit are Bobby Leath and Demond Tucker. Louisville defensive line commit G.G. Robinson tells AllCyclones.com that he will visit that day, as well.

The two defensive line decommitments add to the one from JUCO offensive tackle Tristan Nickelson late Saturday night. His was different, however, as Nickelson picked up an offer from Texas, which proved too much to pass on for the Texas native.
