Who Iowa State would play in 2015 has been known for some time, but the order of those opponents has now been revealed.
The Cyclones will open with two in-state rivals — Northern Iowa and Iowa — at Jack Trice Stadium next season, debuting the bowled-in south end zone on Sept. 5 against the Panthers before hosting the Hawkeyes one week later.
After having three in-season bye weeks this season, Iowa State will have just one in 2015, coming between Toledo and the Big 12 opener against Kansas on Oct. 3 in Ames. The other two "bye" weeks for the Cyclones in 2015 come before the season-opener and following the regular season finale.
If there is anything that can be said, it's thing: Iowa State's schedule is back-loaded. The Cyclones will face Kansas and Texas Tech to begin conference play, the two other teams in the bottom of the Big 12 with them this season.
