Jeriah Horne has decided to trim his list to five.
The 6-foot-7 forward out of Kansas City (Mo.) told Scout.com on Wednesday night he has canceled his official visit to Iowa State previously set for Sept. 12 and trimmed his list to five schools to include Kansas State, Nebraska, DePaul, Wichita State and Pepperdine.
Horne was already scheduled to visit Kansas State (Sept. 5) and Nebraska (Sept. 25) and will now visit DePaul on Sept. 12 to replace his Iowa State trip. He's previously been on an official visit to Pepperdine and an unofficial trip to Wichita State. He plans to commit sometime in October.
Iowa State had recruited Horne as a point-foward player before he eliminated the Cyclones on Wednesday, two days after the team received a commitment from high school forward Solomon Young. The decision to cut Iowa State from his list was mostly because other schools have shown more interest, he said.
The Cyclones still have four open scholarships to fill in the 2016 class.
