Nonconference games with Xavier and Virginia highlight an Iowa State basketball schedule that will be much more challenging than in previous seasons. Xavier, which has advanced to the NCAA tournament each of the past three seasons, will play at Hilton Coliseum on Dec. 23. The Cyclones visit Virginia on Dec. 31 and have a Jan. 3 road game with San Diego State.
