Hoops Outing Spurs Fan Excitement

Last Tuesday I was invited to the last ISU BB outing of the season at the Country Club in State Center, Iowa. They have hosted the ISU coaches and team in late October for the past 20+ years.

I was fortunate to be asked by the Club to be a dinner host to one of the players, Curtis Stinson. Curtis is a true freshman from the Bronx in New York City.

I might be called a little biased, but I am extremely excited about ISU basketball's future with Coach Morgan and the staff. "Hilton Magic" is coming back. I am thoroughly convinced this team will be a big surprise in the Big 12 Conference this year. My wife and I had a great time in State Center.

Here are a few pictures of the event:

Tami and I with Jake Sullivan, our senior guard. Tami and I bought Jake's picture at the auction after dinner.

Marcus Jefferson, senior, spinning the team autographed during the auction.

Curtis Stinson and myself at the dinner table.

Jon Schaben from Dunlap, Iowa, the auctioneer. Jon just recently took 1st place in the World Auctioneer Championship. He does a tremendous job as auctioneer at some of the Cyclone Club outings across the state.
