Patrick Speaks on Potential Visits

Speculation had it Westfield RB Webster Patrick (5-8, 185) might still be interested in taking visits, even after committing to Iowa State last weekend.

Turns out, that isn't the case.

"I'm not sure how to explain it," said Webster Patrick. "Something about Iowa State just fit right."

The state's No. 40th-rated prospect said he'll remain firm in his commitment to the Cyclones and will not take any more visits.

Patrick's stats for the year read like Sony Playstation numbers. He tallied 1,800 yards, 26 TDs and averaged an astounding 10 yards per carry with mostly in-between the tackle running, occasionally bouncing it outside.

While some project the 5-8, 190-pounder as an all-purpose back, Patrick was rarely asked to block or catch passes out of the backfield. So, it'll be interesting to see how effective he can be if asked to fulfill that type of role.

Having said that, he could also be used in a more conventional manner given the fact that he's a hard-nosed runner with take-it-to-the-house speed.

Iowa State landed the Lone Star State's No. 3 tailback!
