Ryan Ruckdashel Camp Q&A

An emerging offensive lineman from Apple Valley (Minn.) Eastview High School excelled from playing against some players in Iowa State's padded camp. CycloneNation.com caught up with Ryan Ruckdashel after the second padded camp for a question-and-answer session.

CN: How would you evaluate your performance from padded camp?

Ryan Ruckdashel:: I think I did real well up here. I think I did my best. I thought I had good footwork and did well in the one-on-ones. I thought I did pretty good against some of the top kids in this camp.

CN: What were your measurements and 40 time?

Ruckdashel:: I went out at 6-4 ½ and my weight is only at 243 pounds coming out of wrestling. I ran pretty slow at a 5.3.

CN: How does your recruiting look at this point, and what offers do you have on the table?

Ruckdashel:: I have offers already from Northern Illinois and Ball State. I'm hoping someone from the Big 10 offers soon, or just anyone from the Midwest.

CN: What kind of interest did the Iowa State coaches show in you?

Ruckdashel:: I wouldn't be surprised if they had something for me shortly.

CN: Tell me what you're taking away from the padded camp experience.

Ruckdashel:: I like the coaches a lot. The practice facilities are some of the best I've seen so far. I like it around here. The weather is better than Minnesota's right now.

CN: Will you be going to any more camps?

Ruckdashel:: After Iowa (this weekend) I'm going to Minnesota for two days, then Michigan State for a couple days.
