Wesley Considers Pair of Big 12 Programs

Scout.com's Josh Clark recently caught up with one of Iowa State's prime targets from the state of Nebraska for the Class of 2005, Omaha Central athlete Robert Wesley.

Robert Wesley knew last spring after receiving his first offers from Kansas and Iowa State those two would be on his list for the long haul. While he expected more schools to potentially join the picture, it has been only those two that have shown him interest this fall.

"It is down to Kansas or Iowa State for me," said Gunn. "I'm going to officially visit Iowa State on December 3rd, and then I will visit Kansas on December 17th. Right now, they are both pretty even."

What are his thoughts on each school?

"Iowa State really seems like a close unit, and all of their coaches are real good guys. I really feel like a good chemistry could be built there. Iowa State is looking to take a step up, and I like the idea of being that guy to go in there and make that type of impact to help them take the next step."

"Kansas has stayed in constant contact, and I've built a great relationship with their coaches. I went down to their game against Texas Tech, and it is a beautiful campus and close to home. Their fans are crazy, and they are becoming a contender quickly in the Big 12."

Through six games this fall, Wesley has rushed for 1,050 yards and 11 touchdowns on 139 carries.
