BRANDON BROWN - WILL Linebacker
The Big 12's Defensive Player of the Week for his effort against Baylor, Iowa State's first Big 12 road win since November 17, 2001. Brown was credited with a game-high 13 tackles, including eight solo stops, a forced fumble, recovered two fumbles, and a quarterback sack.
BRET MEYER – Quarterback
The redshirt from Atlantic came off the bench dinged up to engineer ISU's 80-yard, game-winning scoring drive in the waning moments. Meyer was a very efficient 12-of-18 passing for 148 yards and a touchdown to Todd Blythe. He also stood in there on the option and took a nasty shot while delivering the pitch to Stevie Hicks for the victorious touchdown.
BRENT CURVEY – Defensive Lineman
Overall the defense gave a so-so effort statistically, but it made big plays when it had the chance with four fumble recoveries. One of them was scooped up by Curvey, who then rambled 65-yards for touchdown that changed the momentum of the game in ISU's favor. It was the Cyclones' first fumble return for a touchdown in eight years.
