ISU Takes Interest in Oklahoma QB's Josh Clark recently caught up with one of Iowa State's prime high school quarterback targets for the Class of 2005, Oklahoma City Northeast's Houston Jones. The 6-foot-2 quarterback had some news to report on his recruitment.

Houston Jones received his second and third scholarship offer in the same week now giving him three total offers.

"Iowa State had verbally offered me quite some time ago, but then they called and told me it was coming," said Jones. "When I got home, the scholarship offer was in the mail, and I spoke with Coach (Dan) McCarney. He told me he'd be in Oklahoma City after Thanksgiving break, and I set my first official visit with Iowa State on December 3rd. I also got an offer from New Mexico that same week."

Jones has also set a visit with Missouri on December 10th, and has a few others to keep in mind.

"Oklahoma State continues to call me, and tell me they are keeping an eye on me. It'd be nice to have a in-state offer from a Big 12 program. Tulsa is still showing some interest, too, and I may take a visit to New Mexico. I haven't heard from Kansas since two weeks ago so I don't know what is happening there," commented Jones.

He claimed no leader(s) at this time, and said he is wide open.
