Parashkevova Joins Iowa State Women's Tennis Staff

Marina Parashkevova joined the Iowa State women's tennis team as a graduate assistant coach, head coach Michele Conlon announced today.

"We are thrilled to have Marina join us at Iowa State," Conlon said. "Marina's unbelievable work ethic and extensive tennis background will certainly have a positive impact on our program."

Parashkevova, a nativa of Bulgaria, is working on her MBA at Iowa State. She played No. 1 singles and doubles tennis at DePaul University, serving as team captain.

While at DePaul, she was on the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll and the Dean's List. She earned collegiate regional ranking in both singles and doubles. Parashkevova ranked No. 6 nationally in Bulgaria in the U-18s and No. 12 in the overall women's rankings. In 1998, she earned a Women's Tennis Association ranking.
