Horse Trailer of the Week

Cyclone fans, here's your chance to vote for Iowa State's MVP for the Iowa game.

Troy Blankenship – punter

Troy Blankenship crushed a low line drive spiral that landed 20 yards over return man Ed Hinkel - a 68 yard punt into 25 mph winds in Saturday's victory over Iowa. He dropped three punts inside Iowa's 20-yard line, for  the game, Blankenship averaged 41.4 yards on eight kicks.

LaMarcus Hicks – cornerback

Hicks returned a second quarter interception 28 yards for a touchdown and also recovered a fumble in Iowa State's 23-3 upset of No. 8 Iowa. Hicks finished the game with three tackles and a pass break up.

John Skladany – defensive coordinator

Defensive coordinator John Skladany put together an incredible defensive plan and his Cyclones carried it out. Iowa State held Iowa out of the end zone for the first time in the series since 1978. The ISU defense also forced five Iowa turnovers. All of Iowa State's 23 points were scored after Hawkeye miscues, including Hicks' interception for a 28 yard touchdown. Cornerback Steve Paris also came up with an INT. The Cyclone defense also forced three fumbles, including a strip by strong safety Nik Moser in the second half.
