Tommy Becker liked what he saw

Just like the Iowa State Cyclones, Tommy Becker's Wayzata High School team is a perfect 2-0. Becker got to witness first hand Iowa State's 23-3 domination of Iowa last Saturday.

"The atmosphere was great, Becker said. "It was great. They came out and hit them in the mouth."

The 6-foot-2, 230 pound linebacker currently is sitting on a couple offers, included are Minnesota, Iowa State and Eastern Michigan.

"I'm pretty much open to the whole process right now," Becker said. "I've got a lot of schools looking at me right now."

Becker said he doesn't really have a timetable for his decision but he will look for a college where he'll get playing time and that has a college football tradition.

ISU coach Terry Allen has had the most recruiting contact with Becker, but Becker also got a chance to meet the other coaches this summer.

"Me and my team came down for the 7-on-7 National Passing Tournament and we won that," he said.

The atmosphere, facilities and coaches were some of the main things that impressed Becker, along with the ISU defensive iron curtain.

"It'd be an honor to play on that defense," he said.
