ISU's Boeve Named Big 12 Player of the Week

Iowa State's Erin Boeve earned Big 12 Conference Volleyball Player of the Week honors for matches of Sept. 26-Oct. 2, the league office announced.

"I am really happy for Erin, it is a well deserved honor," said head coach Christy Johnson.  "She is an exceptional athlete and also one of the hardest workers on the team - she has come a long way this year because of that strong work ethic."

It is Boeve's first weekly conference accolade and she becomes the second Cyclone to win the award in Big 12 history. Colleen Henican was named player of the week on Nov. 17, 1997.
