Tom Randall of Tom Randall Real Estate team in Ames is our featured business of the day. Randall played football for Iowa State from 1974-77.

First of all could you tell us a little bit about your business?

I am the broker/owner of Tom Randall Real Estate Team.  Sara Samms is our Buyer Specialist who works solely with buyers, assisting them in finding the right home for their needs.  My focus is listing homes and getting them sold fast and for the most money.  Cher McBride manages the details of the office and Michelle, my wife, handles the financial end of the business.



How long has it been in business?

I've been in the real estate business since 1981 and was excited to open my own office in April, 2005.

207 S 3rd Street in Ames



What services do you offer?

While the majority of our transactions are resale, we also do new construction, relocation, land and commercial properties.



What are some of the things your business is most proud of?

We pride ourselves on customer service and communication.  Our clients are very important and we make every effort to make sure their real estate experience is exceptional.



How long have you been associated with Iowa State athletics?

My association with ISU started when I played football at ISU 1974-1977



How many of your employees/children are Iowa State students/alumni?

Tom Randall 1979, Sara Samms 2000



Do you and your employees get together and tailgate before the games?

We get together with neighbors, family and friends before each game to tailgate.



What are some of your favorite Iowa State moments?

Beating Nebraska my junior and senior season



What are your thoughts on the current football season and the upcoming

basketball seasons?

We're fortunate to have Dan McCarney at the helm of our football program.  I'm looking forward to another bowl game this year and continued dominance of the Iowa State/Iowa rivalry!
