ISU Cross Country to Compete in Wisconsin

Both Cyclone teams will be heading north for cross country action this Saturday.

The men will compete at the Jim Drews Invitational, while the women are facing competition at the Tori Neubauer Invitational.  The men are scheduled to run the 8K race at 10:30 a.m., and the women will race their 6K at 11:30 a.m.  Both meets are hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

"It's been three weeks since we've raced, and we've gotten a lot of good training in during that time span," said ISU men's head coach Corey Ihmels. "The guys are eager to get on the course, and this meet should be a good tune-up for the upcoming conference meet."

"We're going in about as healthy as we have been all season," said Cyclone women's head coach Dick Lee. "We're still missing Jenny Mockler due to illness.  But we're still looking forward to a good weekend of racing.  Our goal is to close up the gap between our first and fifth runners."

A release containing quotes from Cyclone coaches and players will be posted on shortly after the meet.  Results from the meet can be found at
